I am so excited to share a new journey that I am embarking on with 30 other photographers!! It’s a 52 week project where we have 52 different themes and each week we focus on one of those different themes to stretch our creativity and keep us actively engaging our love for photography! Every week under my post will be a link to another photographer, and she will link to another photographer, and it’ll keep going until it brings you full circle back here! It’s an incredible idea, and I am thrilled to be a part of this group of amazing ladies!! You don’t want to miss out on all of these posts, so be sure to keep clicking to see everyone’s photos!!  This week our theme was black and whites. This is not my best photo, but something that I wanted to capture and remember.

Be sure to check out Susie in St. Louis and her post from today right here.

This week for our macro project we were able to choose what we wanted to submit.  I have been very frustrated with my lack of being able to capture snowflakes and frost so I worked on that a lot over the week-end.  This is not great, but much better for me.  Hoping for a little more snow this year.

We had a fun afternoon yesterday at our montly CM meet up.  One of our members is expecting her second son so we took the  opportunity to practice some maternity shots.  We had a blast and a great dinner afterwards.  Nichole is glowing and not the least bit shy about being photographed.

Hi!! I am so excited to share a new journey that I am embarking on with 26 other photographers!! Not my favorite subject!  What’s the  most important thing that I learned from this?  The wrinkles beside my eyes are BAD.  I guess I need to work on that.

Today I am linking to Jenny.  Be sure to check her out here http://www.thelikesfamily.com/?p=1757

Our theme this week was marbles.  These marbles are from a chinese checkers set that my parents had when I was a child.  Love them!

I had the absolute best time with this sweet little guy a few days ago.  His aunt was baby-sitting and asked if I would do these so she could surprise the parents.  He was so incredibly easy that it made me want another.  Don’t worry Mom…

Nothing cute than a yawning baby!

Not a fan of the outfit, but his Aunt picked it out for him, sorry Susan :)

I am still trying to get caught up from the holidays.  I am doing a few new photo projects this year.  Unfortunately, the gratitude project was just to much to keep up with.  The pressure of having to post every day got to me and I felt like I was failing.  I hate to give up, but I am switching gears and doing two new weekly projects.  I started a macro 52 week project with some other photography girls that I know.  I also just joined a small group of gals that I don’t know in another project 52. They will be posting themes each week.  I am dreading the first week’s theme…self portrait.

Here are the macro first two weeks.  The first weeks theme was ice or water. This is actually ice, but hard to tell.  The second week was fruit or vegetable.

Christmas.  We got lots of snow.  It actually started on Christmas night and was the first time we had snow on Christmas since 1947.  It was really a nice treat.  Here are a few of our day!

This is our neighbor, Molly.

Ethan didn’t last long.  This was his 5th day of  having a fever.

Cole loved every moment of it!

This was our deck by the end of the day.

Then we headed home to write letters to Santa and read The night before Christmas…

Ten On Tuesday.  What’s ahead for 2011

1.  Later in January I am going to be second shooting a wedding in Charleston, SC.  I am so grateful for this opportunity and super excited!  Should be a great experience.

2.  In March I am going to attend the Joyce Smith Extraordinary workshop.  You can read about that here. I am about to burst with excitement for this class.  It’s held in Philly over a week-end.  One of the best parts about this trip is that my online friend will be taking this class with me.  We “met” in a class on clickin moms and have become great friends.  I only wish that my other friends could join us.

3.  I am also taking part in the Bloom workshop in April.  I am doing the “Create” part of the class which I am hoping will help me find my style.  I’m not there yet.  You can read about that class here. I remind myself once again how grateful I am that my husband is always supportive of furthering education.

4.  We came close to selling Doodlebug Dezigns last year.  I think my heart is elsewhere now.  I am hoping we get even closer this year!

5.  Many of you are aware that we considered a new endeavor of designing camera bags.    I had searched high and low for months for the perfect bag.  I did lots of purchasing and returning of many different bags.   We even considered that maybe there was no perfect, stylish camera bag.  Once again, my supportive husband agreed that maybe we should design our own  bags.  We went as far as getting a contact in Mexico for the project.  Just like that, I found my perfect bag.  This project is now on hold.  Just in case you’re interested, here is the link to my “perfect” bag!

6. This brings me to my next new idea for 2011.  It’s still under wraps, but there is an exciting new invention in the house :)  I hope to unveil in the next month or so!

7.  I feel like I am failing at my gratitude project.  It’s not that I am not grateful, but don’t always have time to post each day.  We will see what 2011 bring for this.  Right now, I am still trying to catch up with the holiday photos.

8.  I am taking part in a flickr project 52 macro project.  Should get me out and thinking outside of the box.  So far, I am failing at this weeks project of snow or ice.  Of course, it’s warm here this week.

9.  The kids returned to school yesterday after  a two week break.  I am in my usual January frenzy of organizing and cleaning.  I hope to keep up the momentum for at least a few weeks.

10.  This week-end I am embarking on a 3 night cruise with two of my best friends.  I can’t wait.  This should help get rid of any of the Christmas cob webs still floating around.  I will have no internet access from Friday-Monday so there will be no updates.

Hope everyone else is looking forward to 2011 as much as I am.  I am looking forward to lots of learning!
