Our theme this week is bokeh!  One of my favorite things…however, I didn’t realize that I usually get it by accident.  I worked hard for this  photo!

I am loving this blog hop.  It’s so exciting to jump through them all every Friday afternoon!  Be sure to head over to Kimberlee Edwards Raleigh North Carolina Photographer

This weeks theme was your favorite food.  I was pretty excited about this theme.  My kids and I were in Disney over the week-end.  My favorite food in the whole world is Rice Crispy Treats. Even better is a Rice Crispy tread from Disney World in the shape of Mickey Mouse with chocolate ears.  You can only imagine how much I love those.  My sweet ten year old spent his money to buy a bouquet of the Disney version of Valentine Rice Crispy treats for all of us to share.  (How kind of him).  Anyways, we ate them on our ten hour trip home.  We saved one for my husband and told him he had to let me photograph it first- since it was perfect for this weeks theme.  Unfortunately, he missed that part of the gift.  I went upstairs to put the kids to bed and come down to an empty stick…  So, I now have my son’s favorite food as my photo for this weeks theme.  Oh well!

The kids and I just returned from a long week-end in Orlando.  We had a blast.  I will not bore you with all the photos, but thought I would share some of my favorites.  We went with my brother and his family who traveled from Seattle for this trip.  We spent the first day at Harry Potter in Universal Studios.

This is Lavina.   I love this shot of her from that day.

My brother was kind enough to take the kids on a water ride.  It was 5pm and freezing at this point.

We started the second day at Hollywood Studios.  I couldn’t convince Cole to join Lavina and Ethan with the Toy Story soldier.

After a short rest, we spent the afternoon and evening at Epcot.  We mostly walked the countries.  We enjoyed dinner in Japan and dessert in France.

Just before the fire works started…

Taken just before one of our nicer dinners at the Grand Floridian.

Thanks for following along with our trip!

So excited to have made it to week 4.  I was going to skip this week, due to travel, but decided to try and stay on track!  This is not a great photo, but I love the story.  Yesterday I overheard my 6 and 10 year old in conversation.  My 6 year old was trying to give me my Valentine’s Day present, but my 10 year old was trying to get him to wait.  It was this adorable bracelet that he made at school.  He did go ahead and give it to me and explained that all of the hearts on it were beating hearts.  He is such a sweet kid and I love him to death!

Wow- we have made it to week 3.   This week our theme was a journey.  I had a really neat journey last week and decided to use that as my photo.  A good friend of mine was photographing a wedding down in Charleston last week-end.  She invited me along to help with the pictures.  (Kimberlee also happens to be in our blog circle.)  I had a great time.  This was a new journey for me and a very exciting week-end.  We also walked around Charleston for several hours and took lots of photos. Those can be found in the previous post.  This is also a new journey for the couple we photographed.

I am really excited to be taking part in this blog circle with 30 other great gals.  Now you can head over to Michelle’s blog here. Michelle and I “met” almost a year ago in an online class.  What a difference a year makes!

I will not be taking part in the blog circle next week.  My kids and I are heading on a special trip.

I Spent this past week-end in beautiful Charleston.  I was there helping a friend photograph a wedding.  On Sunday we walked around downtown Charleston taking lots of pictures.  The weather was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

This was one of my favorites :)

Charleston is famous for it’s Pralines.  We visited a really neat candy shop!

Something about this Citadel student sitting here that really was neat to me.

The famous pineapple fountain

a little detail on the fountain

and the  gorgeous row homes, which are not as easy to photograph as you would think.
