I’m so excited about this weeks subject, Remember & Reflect: Reflect on the year, what is something you want to do differenty or change for 2012? Let’s start with remembering 2011. For that, I picked my favorite 11 of 2011. Here we go…
First up is “Hippy”. This little guys Mom is in our local Clickin Moms group. She brought him to one of our meet ups for him to model. I fell in love with Hippy!
These girls were the best of friends all the way through college. Weeks before graduation they asked Robin (a good friend of mine) and I to take these photos so they could remember how much fun their college years were. This photo was recently published in a book called “Laughter”.
I spent that same week-end with one of my best friends & her kids. We took 100′s of photos, but this was my favorite. It has continued to be one of my favorite photos of the year!
Early in the summer I was fortunate enough to second shoot two weddings with Tara Parker Photography. I had lots of favorites, but this one was at the top!
In August the kids and I traveled to Maine for a week vacation. There were too many favorites from that trip, but there is so much that I love about this shot. The reflection, the rocks, the houses in the background and the location of where this was taken is special to me.
This Fall several of my friends had babies. I was able to help document all of them.
I can’t even count how many fun and exciting shoots Robin and I did together this year. This is now her daughter in law and she asked me to help her with some bridals. What a great time we had at McGregor Country Club. Robin and I make a great team and I loved the experience of doing this with her.
I ended the year with another all time favorite. One thing I learned this year is how much I love lifestyle photography. This wasn’t at all what I was aiming for and it ended up being my favorite from the day! I also learned this year that it doesn’t have to be technically perfect to be a favorite.
My goal for 2012 is to have more favorites of my own children. I got into this hobby to document my children, but it seems I did more documenting of other kids this year. Next year I would love for my favorite 12 in 2012 to include lots more of my own!
Sadly, this is the last week of this current 52 Fridays project. If you made it this far, thanks for following my journey this year.Next week I will start a new journey with 20 new gals. Can’t wait to see what 2012 brings to all of us.
For now, please continue the circle and check out what Nancy Schumacher, Thompson,ND Photographer will remember and reflect on.

Such a great theme this week. Accompishment: What have you accomplished this year? What is your greatest acheivement for 2011? It’s fun to reflect on this at the end of a busy year full of lots of learning. My goal for this year was to grow creatively. I was fortunate enough to attend two workshops this year. One was the Jinky Art Workshop which I KNEW would be my key to unlocking that creativity. The workshop was filled with bathtubs in fields, horses and loads of fun. I loved every minute of it. However, the greatest thing that I walked away with was not added creativity. I walked away with knowing that bath tubs in fields might just not be for me . I love capturing real life moments. My favorite shots always seem to be the ones that I didn’t plan or work at achieving. I learned at Jinky Art that this is ok! I am learning to love what I am shooting and I love this growth that I had this year.
Last December I worked super hard to get this shot.
I look back at it now and don’t like much about it (except for the adorable little girl). It was too posed for me and a lot of set up that wasn’t natural. Don’t you love how I shot up her nose too. Lighting was bad. Like I said, not much to love about this. This December, I sat in the same room and got one of my favoviite shots ever. (Believe it or not, that is the same adorable little girl) I feel like it is such an accomplishment that have gone from A to B. I also accomplished being content with a photo that isn’t technically correct. I used to shoot for perfection. Now I am trying my best to shoot for emotion instead. I am much happier with what I am seeing through my lens now!
There’s only a few weeks left in this journey. Please continue the circle and see what Lynn Bugsmom Photography in NJ accomplished this year!

Welcome to the 5th month of a project I am participating in 10 great photographers. On the 10th of each month, all of us will blog 10 pictures taken over the course of a day . The project started a few years back from a mom/photographer who’s goal was to ‘find life and beauty among the ordinary things in her day.’
The project is called 10 on 10, sharing 10 images from one day, morning till night, on the 10th of each month. Just for fun. This month I decided to document our second annual trip to the mountains to get our Christmas tree.
Please continue the circle and check out the rest of our 10 on 10 group. Next us is Sarah Null http://www.sarahnull.com/ (you might have to type in her address. There is something wrong with the links on my blog this week and they won’t work)

Hard to believe that we are at week 47 of 52 Fridays. Time has flown through this project. Our theme this week is Magic. What is magical to you? A famous quote came to mind when I found out our theme and I knew immediately which photo I wanted to use from the week. “Christmas magic is silent. You don’t hear it—you feel it, you know it, you believe it.” ? Kevin Alan Milne. There is nothing more magical than Christmas through the eyes of a child.
Please continue the blog circle and see what Kimberlee Edwards Photography Cary, NC Photographer www.kimberleeedwards.com/blog has to show us for magic.
For some reason my link will not work today on my blog. Please type in her address.

Week 46 of the Fifty Two Fridays project brings us to comfort. When you think of this word what first comes to mind? A favorite sweat shirt? Your bed? The warmth of a hug? Somebody in our house has been sleeping on a towel for several months. She eats everything, including her beds! We finally broke down and bought her a new bed (for the 20th time) this week and she is one happy dog. She is very comfortable and loving life- until she eats it. It’s only a matter of time, but until then we are all happy that she’s comfortable! *UPDATE. The bed is no longer with us. It lasted 26 hours and I found her with it destroyed this morning. So much for “Chew proof”…
