Join us for an adventure in the redwoods and rocky coastlines of Northern California

Home to the world’s tallest trees, Redwood National Park provides endless opportunities for awe-inspiring photographs and memories with these ancient trees. With its lush forests, towering trees, and diverse ecosystems, Redwood National Park provides photographers with a wealth of opportunities to create stunning images. In addition to the redwoods, the coastal areas of Redwood National Park offer other photographic opportunities. We will explore the rugged cliffs, sea stacks, and rocky shorelines along the Northern California coast. We have timed this to hopefully coincide with the blooming of lupine and rhododendron. During the early summer months, coastal fog develops in the forest. The combination of the fog and the towering trees produces a range of visual effects that enhance the composition and create an ethereal scene. The forest also provides many opportunities for macro photography. The area is covered with diverse flora and fauna. While exploring the trails, we will come across various species of ferns, mosses, and wildflowers that thrive in the moist and shaded environment of the redwood forests.

Whether you're a professional photographer or an amateur enthusiast, this workshop will offer a remarkable setting to capture awe-inspiring photographs and create lasting memories. With its lush forests, towering trees, rugged coastline, and diverse ecosystems, this park is a paradise for photographers seeking to capture the beauty of nature.

Your guides will always be on the lookout for interesting image possibilities during our photo adventure and for this reason, our itineraries are always subject to change. Weather plays a major role in capturing the best images possible. Changing light and weather conditions will always be assessed and changes in the schedule will be made accordingly. Flexibility, patience, and a sense of adventure are key to having a great time and capturing stellar photographs.

A wide-brim hat, sunscreen and sunglasses, and a large water bottle are also advised.
